Not too be an ass, but please don't support either of these. I thought the SEM bike tours were a cool idea, and signed up the site to try and win one. Not only did I get weekly emails from them, but they began CALLING and leaving voice mails on cell phone once a week. I tried several times to have my info taken off their lists, and it took basically threatening them to get them to stop. Their tours may be great, but their persistent 'marketing' was obnoxious.
Twin Oaks is also a pain in the ass. I was on the organizing collective of the National Conference on Organized Resistance a few years ago. They submitted like 20 workshop applications and were mad when we only chose 3 of them. They offered to help coordinate workshops folks wanted to do outside of the main conference, but then filled all the time slots with their own stuff. They constantly complained about the way things were run, but only distract event organizers from doing our work...somehow forgetting they do their own weekend conference at their little hippy fifedom in VA. Not to mention their tofu sucks.
