years ago I worked in a shopwhile in the shop I thought about how I could fit into the bicycle industry...
bicycle tours and bicycle rentals passed through my head
bicycle repairs with pick up and delivery passed through my head
the combination of the two sounded like a winning business model
Better Bikes in DC does some of this
Arleigh has started the Bicycle Mechanic House Call thing

Arleigh will need a huge staff next spring when the damn breaks.....
out sourcing...
when I was thinking about this
I never had any intention of doing anything more than the most basic repairs
pick up and delivery
with a small shop with all the right tools
was not trying to hang a bicycle from its saddle on a tree limb
although someone could make that work too
Thanks Quadzilla spreading the word!

ah...
the american dream
owning one's own business
I have a friend who has a gutter cleaning business
it is more than a truck and a few ladders
but
I often think
wow
I could start a gutter cleaning business with a truck and a few ladders
get a few underlings
and bam
soon enough
I too would be living the American Dream
rather than the 9-5 nightmare
