cell phone usage in the district of columbia is out of control
there is no attention paid to the "hands free only" law
people go about driving and talking on their cells just as they did before the law was instituted
text messaging takes things to an even more obnoxiously dangerous level
there is all sorts of press about phone jammers
although the phone jammer is illegal in the states
it is said that the device is growing in popularity
if people would just behave there would not even be a consideration of such measures
ah... I remember a world before cell phones
that world was a little more like mayberry
but it was nice

Would be tempting to carry one the bike wouldn't it?
It would probably backfire though as drivers in your immediate vicinity became even more distracted as they tried to restore the calls they suddenly lost.
It would, however, be most satsifying to shut down chatter in the subway.

you jam the cell phone
and the driver looses even more focus
then they run down the cyclist with the phone jammer
never seeing them
just feeling the speed bump like roll over
crushing the cyclist and the phone jammer in the same motion
resuming their ever so important call about the results of american idol from the night prior
but yes
chatty cathy on the cell on the subway
they could be silenced with less backlash
