The Friends of Rock Creek's Environment and Friends of the National Zoo are joining forces for a trash cleanup at the National Zoo!

The Zoo is one of the major properties bordering Rock Creek. Lots of local wildlife--mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians--live outside the Zoo enclosures. There is also a lot of trash in the woodlands along the creek.

Please join us for a cleanup this Saturday, April 19, from 9:00 to 11:00. Registration begins at 8:30 in the grassy picnic area across from Amazonia. The minimum age is six years old. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you can, please take Metro or bike to cleanup. If you drive, park in Lot D.
