it may not be ANSI-SNEL approved
but there are some merits
the child gets to see the action
and the bond between the rider and the child is strong
for the smaller child I see this as a great option
I never owned this style of child seat... it would have been nice
funny... well not so funny
while snapping these shots a car pulled in front me
over the bike lane and into a parking space
in anticipation I moved out of the bike lane and out of the door zone
sure enough... without a glance back the door came open
out popped a car courier
I recognized him... he was a bicycle messenger for over twenty years
