The White House in Washington DCit was not so long ago that traffic rolled past the White House on each side
traffic rolled... then tourists would slow and stall their car to take a photo and then the police would signal for them to move on their way
now... it is pedestrian friendly
car free other than police and presidential motorcades
sadly... I think they removed the street hockey from the area
