the ripple effect of Congress shutting down the Federal Government will be dramatic

more dramatic for some rather than others

yesterday I rode my bicycle down to the National Mall

DC as its Federal Buildings are sleepy

the streets are vacant

there are fewer food trucks on the street

there are fewer people lined up at the food trucks

the Starbucks location by my office has reduced their hours

non-Federal employees will see a serious backlash from the furlough

people are pay check to pay check

so... how will our economy respond to this

I can not imagine that this is a good thing

not good for anyone
