DDOT To Host Public Meeting for the Klingle Valley Trail Project
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2014 to provide an update on the Klingle Valley Trail Project and present the latest on the design elements.
The design plans are being developed based on the Final Environmental Assessment (EA)/ Finding of no Significant Impact. This assessment analyzed a range of alternatives for the construction of a multi-use trail within DDOT’s right-of-way between Porter Street, NW and Cortland Place, NW and includes stream restoration of Klingle Creek.
The project entails a proposed a multi-use trail facility using context sensitive design, to provide safe non-motorized transportation and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. For more information about this project please see the EA at http://ddotfiles.com/KlingleValleyTrail/.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend for an opportunity to review and learn about the proposed plans for the Klingle Valley Trail.
