Fort Reno Washington DC
Fort Reno Park in Washington, DC is a National Park
but really... it is not a destination for people around the nation
this is really a local park for local people
lots of everyday usage from people who live near\around the park
this park is set right in between Alice Deal Middle School and Wilson High School
which means... this park is used in many ways by the children that attend these schools
then...
there are playing fields
youth baseball and youth soccer host games on this land
which is different than Yosemite or Rocky Mountain National Park
it seems as if far fewer people are going to Fort Reno to check off an item on their bucket list than other National Parks
then one last Fort Reno mention...
The long running Fort Reno Concert Series!!!
every summer for years local bands have played for free in this open space park...

most of my strong memories of my youth at Fort Reno would surround more gathering with friends and making new ones rather than the bands that were on stage
