Gets Dark Early... best to have lights on your bike...

Lights Equal Life
Get a Light

Daylights Savings Time is Here...
now it gets dark earlier
which means... bikes need to be equipped with lights

there are lights to see
there are lights to be seen

dressing in brightly covered clothing does not do the trick
even reflectors are dependent upon lights reflecting against them
which means...
lights are your best option

WABA and BIKE ARLINGTON have Light Programs

and of course... you could buy lights
I like the KNOG product

the WABA page talks about what lights work best in each scenario
I really like the mention of light angle
when on the bike path... OH TOO OFTEN... cyclists have their lights pointed in such a fashion that they blind oncoming cyclists, runners, etc
POINT YOUR LIGHTS TO THE GROUND!!!

one easy test...
ride towards a mirror... if it blinds you adjust your lights
and really...
if you look into your flashing rear taillight and it gives you a migraine in two seconds
well.. that it what it does to trailing cyclists

how much light is too much?
be considerate
