after 20 years as an IT Specialist I have changed jobs

I have to say...
I never saw IT as a career
just saw it as a job
a way to a paycheck
a way to get benefits
the IT jobs served me well
CBS News and The Smithsonian Institution
a less than interesting task in an interesting work place
saw some cool stuff
had a decent time
but... I have stepped away from IT
(for now)
the job started in the winter
on my second day it was 33 Degrees and Wintery Mix
now...
now it is summer
100 Degrees
100 Percent Humidity
oh well...
I dig the job
I enjoy aspects of the job
Bike Share is a concept I believe in
I supported bike share as a Charter Member
join before they had any bikes or stations
then at the ribbon cutting
I was there...
leading a parade of CaBi bikes to their first BikeShare Station
so...
there is a reward to this job
I get paid
but
that paycheck may not be enough to pay the bills
need to sort that out...
pleased to be sweating it out for Capital BikeShare!
