An Alleycat is a Bicycle Messenger Race, what does that entail?
Well... my thought is that in any work situation there are those that feel that they are the best at their job. The fastest... the most efficient... etc.
Just as a lumberjack may claim he can cut down a tree faster than any other lumberjack... Bicycle Messengers make similar such claims about their tasks... so... formal competitions are created... so that people within a community can settle that score... and then also so that disconnected communities can send forward their best to see is the Champion over all.

It is not about the prizes... but of course... I am trying to figure out prizes...

I will be throwing two events this fall...
A post work event on a Friday... FRIDAY NIGHT POST WORK ALLEYCAT... post work activities will be the theme...
and then also... The Dead City Alleycat... a Halloween themed Alleycat that will occur the weekend after Halloween.
ideas are swirling... nothing set in stone as of yet... just ideas... lots of ideas.... need to start to narrow things down...
