times have changed...
growing up there were so many teen bands
there was this evolution from the 50's
that high school thing where kids learned to play music and performed locally
DC and its DIY thing
there were groups of people that pointed their energies towards writing their own music rather than playing Wipe Out and Louie Louie
that said...
lots of punk bands covered Stepping Stone
Black Flag covered Louie Louie
but... now?
do teenagers learn to play music?
do they form bands?
I think that moment has changed
I grew up in a different time
