A Ghost Bike is a memorial for a person killed on the bike... normally that Ghost Bike is placed in the vicinity of the incident that lead to the fatality.

not unlike the wedding ring

it does not have to be a diamond

but it can not be a turd

Ghost Bikes should be respectful of the space that they occupy

more art than blight

that memorial should remain a visible memory for more than a year

as that person's death continues on more than a year 

thus people should be reminded of this death for more than a year

the bike for Shawn Bega is soon to be removed from its perch

personally... I believe it should remain longer

Ghost Bikes are not only a great memorial for those that knew and loved the victim

but also...

Ghost Bikes act as a reminder to drivers about the consequences of their actions

I know no one would want to be run down by a car or truck while on the bike
