the property where Big Wheel Bikes once operated
is now vacant and on the market

here are some words on Facebook that I cut and pasted
and then
I may let some comments develop and then share those as well

End of an Era...
I remember Mike Sendar having his legal practice upstairs...
a scruffy dog named Frank after Frank Sinatra
the warehouse in the back with all of the rats
so many people "cycled" through as employees
more than I can remember
more than I could claim to know
Who worked at Big Wheel Bikes?
Who worked at Big Wheel Bikes in Georgetown...
end of en era...
the interior of the Georgetown store is cleaned out
a gumball machine and a space heater remain
mike was not interested in heating the space
I am not certain... but I think that Bethesda Big Wheel has also closed...
so only Old Town and Spout Run Stores remain!
so many memories...
dang... am I not in Facebook contact with Reed, Mike Wang, Kyle, who else... Ryan or Rayon Fogg? Scooby? Scott Caragher
come on brain... scan for memories...
a mechanic named Josh...
of course VJ
there was a mechanic whose father was a rowing coach at Georgetown who wrote the Shell Game...
seeing faces... not getting names...
the high school kids in Bethesda?
Burke Wilborn, Euan Fisk, who else?
the guy from Galactic Rob Mercurio
oh man... oh man... Larry.... one of Mike's right hand men for a moment...
who worked at Big Wheel Bikes?
my buddy Joe Byrnes worked there for several days in the Bethesda Store... and then on the weekend he worked along side of Mike Sendar, Joe said thank you for this opportunity but no thank you at the end of the day - knowing that Sender's leadership style was not going to work for him
