David Confer
David Confer died of Cancer
but...
a notion thought by those who knew David and his situation
we felt it could have played out differently
David's health condition was serious
but his cancer was treatable
David did not get the health care that he needed and deserved
that is part of the intention of this event
to continue the conversation about the system and its failures
then also Social Media Post can be instrumental in telling a story
David Confer has a story
David Confer's life could have been different had he been given the proper medical care that he needed\deserved.
The system favors the rich and the white and does less for the less fortunate and the brown skinned people.
Or course Cate wants to get the DC Cycling community together in the spirit of David Confer, but Cate also wants to spread the word about the system and the results of its injustices.

today we ride in the spirit of David Confer

my primary was the Alleycat Race
while Cate got to have more control over the Just for Fun Ride
