Sunday Morning Came without any firm plans
no plan to ride
no plan to work
no real plan
sure... I have things I NEED to do everyday
there is always stuff to do
woke up...
was doing my thing
did a snow packed hike with the dog
did some work on marketing the book project
did some Facebook Marketplace adjusting the prices of my bikes for sale
and
I sold a bike
I sold an old beater
70's Panasonic
it was 50 Bucks
a fixer up that needs some TLC
it had one good tire and one old and tired tire
both holding air
the bike with its low price point has had many bites
it was posted as a fixer upper needing TLC
this morning I had a guy ask to come by and grab it
so... I set up a meeting time
Chuck showed up at 1 PM as planned
when brought the bike out I noticed the front break was missing a bolt
so... I HAGGLED THE PRICE DOWN
we were set at a firm 50
I dropped it down to 40 bucks
if I were in a different money situation
I would have given him the bike for free
after making a sale
I packed a few bags of snacks to share at the film screening
suited up
grabbed a bike
went a short pedal to this house party film screening
25 Years of Bicycle Film Festival
it was a great little gathering
nice little group house
mixture of bicycle people
some that I knew
some that I had met before
good conversation
the gathering was social
it was good to gather
it was good to be social
it was a wonderful event
cheers to those that hosted
cheers to those that attended
some films were able to grab more attention than others
subtitles helped on the films that had them
