City Bikes Hosted a Demo Day at Schaeffer Farms this Saturday Past
it was a fantastic day for Schaeffer Farms
it was a fantastic day for mountain biking
it was a fantastic day to hang out with friends and ride the latest and greatest mountain bike technology of the day
the rain held off
there were enough volunteers that I was able to get on the bike for a spin in between the duties of DEMO DAY
while at DEMO DAY I rode my geared Surly Karate Monkey
wanted to try it out before racing it at the Greenbrier Challenge
it felt good... I felt good on it
I was stoked to be racing the Karate Monkey and all of its 31.5 pounds of hardtail glory
but... at the end of the day I asked Darren of City Bikes if I could borrow the Stumpjumper for the Greenbrier Challenge the following day
a call to Bega... the bike was not booked
and the bike was mine
BONUS!
THE SPECIALIZED TEST BIKE WAS TO BE TESTED BY ME ON RACE DAY!
thanks darren... and thanks City Bikes!
that is one sweet machine!
City Bikes is a good shop
a good shop that is not just good to the teams that they sponsor
but a shop that is good to the community
not just the race community... but the community as a whole
City Bikes Washington DC
there are two City Bikes locations...
one in the city in Adams Morgan just a few miles from the White House
and another location six miles out of the city just inside the beltway just off the Capital Crescent Trail
