STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
today when I stepped out for lunch I ran into a friend and fellow Street Photographer; Smitty
Smitty and I walked... each of us with camera in hand
splitting our attention between catching up and trying to capture the moment
eye contact was not part of the process
each of us looked ahead to try to capture the next shot

it was good to catch and to catch a glimpse of a friend's approach to a somewhat similar hobby
each of us had a few stories to tell about the varied response when trying to "get the shot"
we worked a moderately random loop
my effort was to travel down stretches of road that were not in the shadow of the buildings
the season has great light... if you can find it
it amused Smitty my ability to anticipate the bicycles off in the future
which was amusing... because I am far less proficient with my photo process when mixing socializing with my camera work
we each managed to catch a few shots
maybe not the shots we were looking for
our styles are very different
the stealth style of Smitty's reminded me of the work of Mark Cohen
