David and I worked to create two tall bikes... not necessarily for The Dead City Alleycat... but that was a good enough deadline
we created two very different machines...
one lead sled
and
something quite the opposite... a light weight racing machine... well... a light weight Tall Bike Machine with light weight\high end parts
late in the race at Sherman Circle we set up The Tall Bike Challenge
David O La took pleasure in running this timed Checkpoint
racers arrived...
David and Angel had the racer go to the middle of the circle on the grass
then would say go and start the timer
racers ran to the bench where two tall bikes were leaning
they chose one of the two Tall Bikes...
tall bike riding racers had to pedal to the exterior of the park and do a lap on the sidewalk
coming back up the sidewalk that they went down
David would then record the racers time...
the goal was not for anyone to get hurt
Tall Bikes are Fun and Easy to Ride
this was not Tall Bike Jousting
this was really just FUN!!
giving most people their first ever chance to ride a tall bike
racers also had a choice to roll the dice... do that many push ups and a lap around the circle in on their own bike
each of my boys enjoyed playing around on the Tall Bikes as David and I built them
he took one out for a test spin
like most people when they get on a Tall Bike
it is easy... it is fun...
it is just a bit of a riddle on how to stop or start
ask anyone who has every ridden a Tall Bike if it was fun and easy...
99 out of a hundred will say yes
