great show... great way to spend a Thursday Evening...
good to get out of the house
fun to catch some live music
was really stoked to catch this band
enjoyed them beyond my expectations
Fort Reno Summer Concert Series is a DC Tradition
while there I spoke with a friend of mine involved in the Tenleytown Mainstreets
she mentioned that she was working to have MORE summer concerts at Fort Reno
but...
a concert series separate from the usual Fort Reno Summer Concert Series
to which I agreed
there is room for more use of this space
there was talk of having concert on the other nights of the week
while I felt that it might make more sense to have the concert series at the beginning of the summer and the tail end of the summer
thus spreading things out and not confusing things
the friend from Tenleytown Mainstreet shared my sentiment that the evening could use Food Trucks or something similar
I know... as I was getting HANGRY in that very moment
either way...
the space at Fort Reno has lots of opportunity for more events
more concerts
concerts with a different vibe and different sound
maybe something less subculture and more mainstream
and then also
maybe something more family friendly
sure... ice cream truck is awesome
but... there is room for more
I joked... "it is not like Amanda MacKaye owns the stage"
not like Amanda is acting or claiming like she does
so... maybe next summer there will be another concert series at Fort Reno
causing some confusion
as there will have to be some naming
